Dr. Simons specializes in hip and knee surgery and believes that restoring mobility to these key joints transforms lives. His practice is rooted in the conviction that helping patients move freely and without pain opens doors to renewed independence, vitality, and joy in everyday life. By addressing the most fundamental aspects of movement, Dr. Simons strives to help his patients return to the activities that matter most to them, fostering a sense of freedom and well-being. He is considered an expert in hip and knee replacements, as well as complex revision surgery.
Dr. Simons grew up in Clovis and returned after his training to join Sierra Pacific Orthopedic Center, serving the Central Valley. He was introduced to medicine by his father, who practiced neurosurgery in Fresno.
After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Simons earned his medical degree and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Illinois in Chicago. During medical school, he completed rotations and earned a scholarship from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Simons further honed his skills through fellowship training in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
In 2024, he was accepted into Harvard Medical School’s Surgical Leadership Program to enhance his vision of delivering exceptional patient outcomes within Sierra Pacific Orthopedic Center and the broader healthcare community. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Fresno Surgical Hospital and aims to use this role to bring cutting-edge innovations and best practices to the region.
